Do You Want To Be Rich Or Poor?

yes, thats right ladies and gentleman, the question on my title post today says it all, do you want to be rich or poor? its a choice that only you can decide, nobody else can make that decision for you.

I am sure and confident that majority of the people out there would like to be rich right? well, the above book called Rich Dad Poor Dad is a good book to read if you are looking to change your financial status and your financial knowledge about the world that we live in today.

Its funny when I think about it because i got started reading this book like a month ago and for me it really was an eye, mind and heart opener because that book explained a lot of stuff that I never thought I would learn during my University days. the book really expanded my mind to so many new things and it really is a wonderful book to read. I strongly recommend to anyone out there to read this book if they want to have a change in your life financially. The book is also the number 1 bestseller all around the world.

looking back on my past as well, I actually read the book before to think about it now but i somehow forgot about it, hahahahahha. quite silly right?

below is a video that I found to be absolutely hilarious when I was watching it with Stan, Ming Kiet and Arthur when I was in Stanley's house just now doing video editing for the 40 hour famine campaign. its about John C Maxwell. wont want to mention anything about the video, just watch it and I am sure you are going to laugh your hearts out. enjoy the video!

Training to become a skilled Barista

wooohoo, isn't it exciting? i got a free passport of becoming a skilled barista. ever since I started working in Dome Applecross, I had a dream, a dream of opening my own cafe one day. then i also remembered, 'why do i want to open my own cafe one day in the future? I asked myself that question. the answer is simple, I have a passion for coffee. yes thats right, I love coffee so so very much. its now like my second beverage that I drink every single day after water.

I attended this beans skilled course organised by Dome where I had to go to Midland because the training centre was there. it was very interesting because during the course today, I got a chance of knowing the history of coffee beans and how it came about and the process of plucking the beans and grinding them before they are hand picked and freshly sealed in air seal bags to maintain the freshness of the coffee beans.

super exciting stuff, I even got a chance to make coffee drinks like latte, cappucino, flat white and macchiato. enjoyed steaming the milk and pouring it into the coffee cups. oh, it was just so good fun. this is my first step on becoming a skilled barista in the future.

I also bought Michael Jackson's thriller album as you can see below. super good man, I really enjoyed all the songs on the album and I can see why now it is called the best selling album in the world in history. it even says that on the front cover itself.

weekend is coming, so fast, woooohooooo......................

The King That Rocked The World Of Pop Music

Michael Jackson is the man that i am talking about whose songs have definitely rocked the world of pop music. I always love to listen to his songs since I was very young beginning from my primary school days. some of my favourite songs were "Beat it", "Black or White", "You Are Not Alone" and "Thriller". oh gosh, and the moonwalk that he does, incredible. i always wonder until today how he actually does it.

his news about his death this morning really struck me because his songs have definitely touched so many hearts in the world until today. its hard to imagine because this incident just happened all of a sudden! makes you wonder how life can be scary at times.

you are going to be missed Michael, we love you and always we will.

I cannot imagine that it is already coming to the end of June, all I have been doing is working part time at Dome cafe Applecross while still looking for a full time job. working there is fun, learning heaps of stuff like making sandwiches, coffee and doing the cashier which is quite cool to play with because there are just so many buttons to get your hands on.

going to watch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen tomorrow with my church, should be fun. i have been a Transformers fan ever since I was young. cant wait for the battle scenes between the robots, I am sure its going to be fantastic! may want to watch it in IMAX because i heard it is a totally different experience.

oh well we shall wait and see what happens.

Baby Girl Please Don't Cry

baby girl baby girl, please don't cry. Daddy would being you another toy. i don't know whether that beginning sentence i wrote really rhythms with the title. I actually have not written on my blog for like 2 months now, do not know why actually I have not written anything, must be bogged down to plain laziness I reckon.

I somehow find myself not willing to stop completely or totally give up on something unless I really have to and for me my blog is something I do not want to give up on so easily because I am sure what I write on my blog would bring back good and sweet memories when I check my blog every now and then.

the title says it all, I went with Cindy Lim to babysit 3 of Pastor Patrick's and Joyce's daughters: Renee, Kathleen and Aimee.I really had fun looking after those 3 little ones, not because I was struggling with it but because I really had fun with them especially Kathleen.

that girl was just like hanging on to me most of the time like nobody's business. Cindy was like saying to me: "Hey thomas, I guess Kathleen really likes you a lot". she said that with a smile on her face. spent about 3 hours with them because Pastor Patrick and Joyce went for dinner with the visiting Pastor Thomas Cherian at Summerville Chinese restaurant so ya I accompanied Cindy to look after the 3 princesses.

really really had fun, just cuddling them and holding them makes me feel like a dad already, hahahahaha.

still looking for a full time job, it has been like 2 months already since I was out of a job. good thing is i don't have to wake up so early nowadays. bad thing is i feel like I am getting lazier because just bumming around doing nothing.

going to send in my resumes tomorrow to a couple of Dome cafe outlets to secure a part time job, hopefully all goes well so I would be able to be a coffee barrister according to Jack. thats what he said in cell group just a few hours ago.

thomas the coffee barrister, not bad! i kind of like that name. :)

The Power Of Facebook

welcome to the world of facebook where everyone seems to be so into it that if someone asks you: Hey, do you have Facebook? and if you say no, the typical answer would be: where are you man? are you kidding me? Facebook is the new era for online social networking today.

and yes yes, i totally agree with that. Everyone is so glued and hooked onto Facebook that whatever information people put on Facebook, majority of the people would believe that particular information straight away. Its so funny because something happened to me on Facebook. what I did was I took out my single status on Facebook just to see how people would respond to it. I did not say that I was "in a relationship" and yet a lot of people thought that I was in a relationship straight away and some of the comments that they put on my Facebook were just hilarious.

also, the amazing thing was a lot of people were just so concerned about my love life and I found it very touching because I really did not expect so many people to be so concern about my love life. Its funny and strange in a way because I somehow find that people are not interested in my life but are interested in my love life. huh? what is the world coming to these days? people seem to be more interested in your love life than your own life. very interesting indeed.

its been one and a half months since my last post and ya what else can I say has been the cause of not posting up on my blog: CA paper, work, cell group, church, ministry and the list goes on.......... I finally found sometime now to post something on my blog. heh, hopefully I would post more in the next few days.

3 weeks holiday coming to an end

so sad, i would be flying back to Perth tomorrow morning. gosh, so fast man until i myself cannot believe it. I really did enjoy my holidays overall, ate a lot of good food that cannot get in Perth one. I even met up with some friends that I have not seen for like 8 years, ya I know. unbelievable! 8 years man and yet I still recognise who that person is.

its amazing how i look back at my life till this point and finally start to realise how friends do really mean a lot to me and my life. i cannot imagine, friends that I have not seen for such a long time and yet we still could share, laugh and have fun. amazing! simply amazing!

I myself have not done up my resolution for this 2009 year but i know one of them is to really improve on my mandarin. I know sometimes I just keep saying it but really did not take any action but i really have to start being serious and no more playing. time is really on my shoulders and I feel that this year I do have more responsibilities under my belt. cell group, work, studies, badminton, church, you name it. I is definitely going to be a challenge for me.

I reckon 2008 was a year that i have learn a lot, in terms of friendship, balancing between work and studies and also learning to acquire more and more knowledge. I know this year, 2009 is going to be more challenging and interesting year for me. I would just have to wait and see what this year brings.

my long time Taylor's college friends including Chia Yee( girl sitting on the right) whom I have not seen for 8 years, great to catch up with you guys

Weekend Holiday in Kota Kinabalu,Sabah

the geographic location of the place I stayed in Kota Kinabalu

the lobby loonge of the resort i stayed in called Nexus Karambunai

well, today is the 10th of January 2009 and this is my first post of 2009. i actually could have posted what I have been doing for the past few weeks earlier just that the internet connection at my house in PJ is slow thats why i could not really post anything because i did not have the patience to wait that long.

i am now in Starbucks coffee in Jaya 302 shopping centre using their fast WIFI internet service and having a nice cup of hot caramel latte. i suddenly realised that I have not posted anything up on my Kota Kinabalu trip which I went with my family from the 2-4th of January. I could take the whole day to write about it but i would just summarise it lar huh, dont want you people reading my blog to think that my KK trip is like a storybook or something.

the thing that I enjoyed most from my weekend trip is the massage. yes, i actually went for my first proper massage! i myself cannot believe it because I have not had a proper massage before because maybe I was not working back then and also the fact that my parents would not be paying for my massage.

since i am already working full time right now as a tax accountant in Australia, I told myself that I am going to have a nice and relaxing holiday in KK and one of the ways is to have a proper massage. no doubt it was expensive but what the heck?, might as well enjoy it man.

didnt do much during my trip to KK, most of the time staying in the resort, I was suppose to meet up with Janica, Hannah, Frances and one of my other friend,April, whom I have not spoken to for a long time but we somehow bummed into each other coincidentally in KK but it just did not work out. one of the reasons is because of timing and another reason is because of the resort that I was staying in, too far from where they were all staying.

oh well, its alright, I am sure there would be a next time. it was a good trip overall, got to spend some quality time with my family and also with Matt, got to know this dude better. below are photos from the trip, sayunara and enjoy the photos.
