Wet And Rainy Sunday

yesterday was indeed a wet and rainy day. it is very unusual in Perth to get rain that goes on the whole day because I remember the time i was here during the past 3 years there seems to be very little rain during this time of year so ya the weather is really changing nowadays.

Played badminton from 10-12pm at Wesley College, Mill Point. This is the usual place that we have been playing every Sunday. However this time is in the morning because Zion church service has been shifted to the evening just for this Sunday because EJ was used for an accounting 250 revision class in the morning. I was feeling very tired when I went for service during the evening, i guess i must have been really worned out from Badminton in the morning.

Pia left for Sydney on Saturday night for the Australia Fashion Week which would be held in Sydney. I reckon it must have been one of those assignments of hers that she has to do when she is there in Sydney and she would be there for about a week. It is her first trip to Sydney so I am sure it is going to be a blast for her hey.

It is already coming towards to the month of May, we are approaching the middle of the year very very soon, just cannot believe that it is indeed going to be the middle of the year. Had a good soccer match on Saturday with the African team and eventually won 4-2, our first win in quite a long time so was happy for the team, it was indeed a well deserved victory.

Going to be an interesting week ahead because I get to see whether I really would get a job or not, I am praying hard and keeping my fingers crossed.

Adding New Templates To My Blog

Yesterday was a boring day, just been sitting at home most of the time lazing around. Made teh tarik for the kelmscott babes to drink at night, I dropped by their place on the way to Mei Yi's house to practice worship for today's cell group.

Was at Mei Yi's place from 8.30 till 11pm, was talking to Christina and Cynthia because i saw them there having their dinner at 9.30pm. My fingers are a bit soar right now because been practising for quite a long time on my lovely accoustic guitar. Oh well, i just have to get use to it, I am confident I will if i play my guitar consistently everyday.

Wednesday was a public holiday in Australia because of Anzac Day, a day to remember those who fought for Australia during the world war. I went out with my YA Cell Group On Tuesday Night and we had dinner at this Cafe called Siena which is along Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley. The food was not bad, had a pizza which was on special and also shared it with Wen Xiong. We went to Kelvin's house after that which was an apartment near Harbour Town in West Perth. His apartment was very confortable with nice sofas and a nice view too. We all had Durian cake and talked until 2 in the morning about relationships, pretty interesting to hear everyone's point of view, talking about the guys and the girls.

Very interesting name for a blog, aha gives me a chance to read their blog. I seem to enjoy reading people's blog, I guess its just interesting to find out what is happening in people's lives. so many stories to tell one for sure.

Yesterday was also one of my cell member's birthday, Mr Frank. Happy birthday to you man, hope you had a good one. we would be officially celebrating your birthday today during cell so dont worry, we all did not forget your birthday.

An Interesting Soccer Match

yes, it was a very interesting soccer match that i played today. My team which just got our new team jerseys and shorts today which do look super cool had a soccer match against the guild house team. We played terrible in the first half because we lost possession way too easily to the opposing team. I was not playing in the first half and was in charge of becoming the linesman. However, the way i saw my team playing in the first half, I would say that 5-0 was a scoreline that just showed how we played in the first half. There were 2 goals which were incredible, how the other team scored was amazing, the 2 out of the 5 goals that we let in were just unstoppable so nothing to say about that. It was poor defending from set pieces that allowed the other 3 goals to go in the first half.

It was a real lesson that we can learn from the match that we played today. Final scoreline was 2-8 so ya that explains how embarrassing all of us felt after the game. I admit that i myself take full responsibility for the 2 goals that they scored in the second half because i was mainly at fault for those 2 goals. One was me missing an easy header under no pressure and the other was a penalty because i went for the player's leg instead of the ball in the penalty area.

I did not write on my blog yesterday because i came back feeling so tired so i just went straight to bed. However, yesterday was an awesome day for me because I went out with Yivonne for coffee at Gloria Jeans in the afternoon after having lunch with Woo Teck at Taka in the city before he left for KL at 4.30pm. Me and Yivonne shared quite a lot of issues about life, christianity, the world and relationships as well so ya it was indeed a very fruitful meeting indeed. I just hope she stays in Perth and get someone to sponsor her PR because i know she enjoys it here and can definately make more money here in Aussie as well. I pray Father Lord that you open the doors for her to get a job here in Perth and someone to sponsor her too.

Well, i guess i will stop here for now. dont think should write too much. have to wake up early tomorrow for church to help out with Projectionzzzz. gosh gotta go already!

Patricia's Farewell Steamboat Dinner

Today I had steamboat at Patricia's house because it was kind of like a farewell dinner for her since she would be leaving on the 27th of this month. She does not have enough points to apply for her PR because she did her Bachelors majoring in Mass Communication at ECU which only gives her 50 points so not enough to meet the point requirements. However, she did say that she would be back in Australia sometime after 1 to 2 years after she gets enough work experience on her hands. I do wish you all the best in your career Pat and hope you enjoy yourself in Penang, would come down to visit you soon.

I also met Pek Jia who is actually from the UWA zone in Zion and it was great knowing her at Pat's house because i use to think that she was a very unfriendly person to talk to at first but after a while when i got to know we did talk about quite a lot of stuff which was good because we just shared with one another and got Cherrie and Pat's other housemate involved as well, oopps forgot her name already, how embarassing!

Overall it was a good day because it was Asher and Eugene Sia's birthday which makes it even more memorable. I went for lunch with James, Vincent, my brother and Eugene Sia to Mikasa where we met Wen Xiong there as well so we all ate together. Came back to edit and make changes to my cover letter and e-mailed it to my sister so she could have a look and see if there were any changes that need to be made.

Meeting With An Old Friend

Yes, thats right. The title of today's posting is a meeting with an old friend. That old friend happens to be none other than my dear friend Woo Teck. I have not seen this guy since I last left for Perth in February last year. One of the reasons could also be because i did not go back to KL during the summer holidays for 3 months because I was working in Puteri Nasi Kandar.

It was really good to see him after one year, still the same Woo Teck that i use to know in terms of his appearance, not much changes. The good old days, how i really miss the good old days. The both of us were in the same primary school and same secondary school till form 2 when he and his family moved to Brunei. We lost touch for a couple of years and somehow met each other during one of the parties or outings during my SAM year. We have been hanging out quite a lot ever since, playing snooker together with Je Sun and also with my Taylor's gang.

We had dinner at Ciao Italia, he wanted to eat pasta so i reckon Ciao Italia is one of the best place for pasta food in Perth. He would be going back on Friday, only here in Perth for 5 days which is pretty short. Ah well, I am sure I would get to see him when he comes down again in July. I may ask him to buy me a digital camera from KL, should be much cheaper than buying one here in Perth.

I also enjoyed Cell Group tonight. The games, worship, word and refreshment was awesome.

Happy Movie Tuesday

WOW!, yes that's the word i would describe for my first posting on my new blog. the last time i wrote on my online blog was back in December last year and it has already been 4 months since i last wrote on my online blog. One of the reasons why i switched to this blog is because the old blog that i use to write does not have a monthly feature where i could just go back to the month that i would like to view what i wrote. It would make it much easier for me and also saves time because i realised that when i use xanga i have to keep pressing the previous button on the bottom right hand corner so its going to take quite a pretty long time to get to the very first date that i wrote on my xanga blog.

Well, there are basically a lot of things that i could write because there were a lot of things happening in my life during the past 4 months. However, if i were to write all the things that happen in my life during the past 4 months right now, i reckon its going to take until next morning also i would not finish writing so i guess i am going to take it slow and just write those important lessons and trials that i have gone through during the past 4 months. Since this is my very first posting on my new blog, I am just going to write what happen today. Yes that's right, today Tuesday the 17th Of April 2007.

I was basically at home most of the time and also using my laptop to browse the internet and also checking my e-mail for any job replies that i have sent through e-mail. I was also washing up the dishes in the sink which took me one hour to do it and to rearrange the store room in the house because it was in a mess. Lets just say that i have been doing a lot of housework today. Went to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with my cell members just now at 9.30pm and it turned out alright, i actually thought the movie would be worse than the trailer and it turned out alright. One of my cell member, Frank is very passionate about all this kind of cartoon and anime stuff and he really wanted to watch this movie for so long so ya i guess it was good to go and accompany him too.

Kawabunga dude, I reckon this blog is also cool because it has so many features and they are user friendly as well. I am going to enjoy using my lovely blog more often. till tomorrow then.
